Just something i created on Tuesday - on the 5 year anniversary of loosing my dad. Done for me personally, as a tribute to my dad, and by no means as a commercial selling track

My dad was fondly known as the Cowboy, never without Stetson and Boots. Couldn't really go using any of his Western rubbish, or doing a Johnny Cash mash-up, but kris kristofferson who both my parents loved for different reasons lol, wrote a beautiful song in 1970. Probably most recognised after Gladys Knight and The Pip's recorded it in the 80's.

I actually built a track 2 years ago as a thank you to my dad, built around this exact vocal , but lost it when i lost my Music hard drive - so seemed fitting to cheer myself up with an Ableton sesh on my pops anniversary

So, i usually say some tracks are too beautiful to mess with, and of course XX Angels to me is one of those tracks. It's simplicity and purity is beautiful. But, that being said, yesterday was a sad day for me. An old work colleague and friend was sadly laid to rest way too soon. Whenever i feel low, the best thing for me is to immerse myself in Ableton.

Katja was an amazing person, whose light, energy, positivity, love, fun and happiness rubbed off on everybody around her. She travelled the globe, and became friends with everybody she met. I was truly gutted to hear the sad news, but took comfort in all the amazing stories her friends and family from around the world posted on her wall. She truly did touch everybody she met.

So, this track i did yesterday, on the day Katja was laid to rest..and it was a personal bit of therapy for me, so to me..although some tracks shouldn't be touched..this one is a bit special.
